How to make the most of Easter in Elsternwick Village
From gifts and fresh produce to a photo with the Easter Bunny himself, Elsternwick Village has everything you need for Easter.
The smell of hot cross buns wafts through the air, the shelves are stocked with chocolate and the kids are itching for the school holidays – it must be Easter time.
From gifts and fresh produce to a photo with the Easter Bunny himself, the traders at Elsternwick Village have everything you need for the long weekend.
Here’s how to make sure you have an egg-cellent Easter in Elsternwick Village.
Meet the Easter Bunny
There’s something magical about a floppy-eared, snuggly soft creature that hides chocolate all around the house and garden.
Your heart will melt when you see your little ones’ faces light up as they meet the folkloric figure who leaves them all those colourful, foil-wrapped Easter eggs.
The Easter Bunny and his fairy helper will visit Elsternwick Village on Wednesday, April 13 and Thursday, April 14 from 11am to 2pm. On both days they will roam the precinct and greet shoppers from 11am to 1pm. Then from 1.15pm to 2pm the Easter Bunny will be stationed in Elsternwick Plaza to take photos with visitors.
Organise your Easter feast
Whether or not you observe Easter as a religious holiday, the long weekend is a time for family and no family gathering is complete without food.
And while you’re at Coles Elsternwick, don’t forget chocolate eggs, bunnies and other treats to fill up the kids’ Easter baskets.
Find a special gift
Make sure your place looks and smells great for visiting guests with flowers or plants from Crabtree & Weeks, fresh linen from Linen House and the latest homewares from fourth-generation independent retailer Dalgarno’s of Elsternwick.
Easter gifts don’t have to be limited to chocolate. Have a book lover in the family? Give them the gift of the printed page with a new paperback or hardcover from the award-winning Avenue Bookstore.
Or build a beautiful gift hamper with the wide range of brands at Ruby’s Gifts. They have everything from candles, jewellery and fashion accessories to photo frames, gadgets and tableware.
Enjoy the Easter holidays in Elsternwick Village
After you’ve found all the Easter eggs and eaten your third (or fourth) hot cross bun, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the rest of the long weekend.
Treat the family to an afternoon at Classic Cinemas to see one of the school holiday releases such as Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, Rabbit Academy or Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Whatever your Easter holiday plans, you’ll find everything you need at Elsternwick Village.
