Welcome in each week with some bachata at Destine Dance.
If you're a beginner, then lessons will be given at the start of each night. If you have mastered the basics, then there is another lesson running in parallel that will teach some of the latest figures from Europe. These are taken by our resident bachata expert Serena.

Every 2nd Friday, we run a swing dance lesson and social.
These are fun nights for people wanting to get into dance and for people who are just looking for a place to swing dance.
The night starts with the doors opening at 7pm. The night then kicks off at 7:30pm with a Lindy Hop lesson. This lesson is designed to get you dancing if you have not danced before and break the ice with other dancers if you already can dance.
The floor is then open for social dance with swing music playing continuously.
Later in the night, depending upon the mood, there will be another lesson on blues dancing. This will then be followed with blues social dancing to see the night out.
WHAT TO BRING
You need only bring yourself and dress in shoes that are suited to dance. You will work this out as you come to a few events. However, you want shoes with a medium level of grip. Dress wise, be ready to get warm.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
The lessons are kept at an introductory level. This is so you can start dancing as soon as possible. There are two rooms so if you want, then you can dance in one room while the lesson is run in the other. If demand is there, then 2 lessons (intro and advanced) will be run in parallel.
Because the lessons are at an introductory level, you will likely want to eventually enroll in a more advanced course - https://www.destinedance.com.au/lesson-options.html
The cost is $15. You can pay at the door by cash or card.
