Your guide to Anzac Day 2019 events in Elsternwick Village

Anzac Day is upon us again, and it marks an important time to come together to remember and honour the service of our defence personnel.
Anzac Day takes place on Thursday, April 25 this year, and there are different ways to spend the public holiday in Elsternwick Village, whether it’s the morning service or a game of two-up.
Here’s our guide for what’s on this Anzac Day in Elsternwick Village:
Anzac Day at Caulfield RSL
Caulfield RSL is hosting numerous events throughout the day, starting with a community march departing at 6.30am from the Elsternwick Club to the Caulfield RSL.
A service outside the Caulfield RSL will run from 6.50am – 8am, followed by a gunfire breakfast in the rear carpark.
From 12 noon, there will be activities for the kids, as well as games of two-up played in the rear carpark.
Settle in from 3pm to watch Collingwood and Essendon play off on the big screen, or head to the rear carpark for live music.

Anzac Day happy hour at Bang Bang
To finish off Anzac Day, head down to Bang Bang for happy hour specials from 4.30pm until 6.30pm, including a selection of beer, wine, bubbles and Graperol spritzes for $5.
If you’re feeling peckish, Bang Bang will offer an Indochine-inspired snack menu, while the restaurant will be open for dinner as well.

Screening at Classic Cinema
To commemorate Anzac Day on Thursday, April 25 Classic Cinema will screen the Peter Jackson film “They Shall Not Grow Old”.
