Anzac Day is fast approaching, and it marks an important time to remember and respect the service of our defence personnel.
Anzac Day takes place on Monday, April 25 this year, and there are different ways to mark the date in Elsternwick Village, whether it’s the morning service or a commemorative drink.
Here’s our guide for what’s on this Anzac Day in Elsternwick Village:
Anzac Day at Caulfield RSL
Caulfield RSL is hosting their traditional Anzac Day commemoration, beginning with a morning community march at 6.45am outside The Elsternwick Club in Sandham St to Caulfield RSL.
Following the conclusion of the march, an Anzac service will be held at the front of the RSL at 7am.
Here’s a list of other activities that will be taking place throughout the day:
In the rear carpark:
Two Up from 12noon – 6pm
Music from Fi and Two Charlies from 3pm – 6pm
In the dining room:
Tim Credible the Magician from 12.30pm – 2pm
Face painting from 1pm – 3pm
In the Anzac Room on TV screens:
AFL – Hawthorn vs Sydney from 12.30pm
AFL – Essendon vs Collingwood from 3.20pm
Food and beverages available all day.
