Urban Furdo Pet Styling are a small team of highly awarded pet stylists offering a boutique one-on-one pampering experience for pooches of all breeds and sizes along with a small retail range catering to families who only want the best for their pooch while supporting locally made and owned brands including handmade biothane leashes/ collars, 100% organic and hypoallergenic shampoos, conditioners and colognes, 100% natural and Australian sourced treats and always sustainably minded products.
Our team is lead by the owner Michaela, a stylist with over 5 years experience who has competed and won awards all over Australia with various breeds and styles. We have various specialists at our salon including breed styling specialists (eg poodle, bichon and schnauzer cuts, etc), double coat specialists (eg Samoyeds, Keeshonds, border collies, golden retrievers, etc), colour specialists (100% pet safe vegan dyes to offer creative grooming for any occasion including wash out temporary colour, permanent and semi permanent colour whether it’s a basic splash of colour on the ears or tail or a full body transformation into a skeleton, leopard or zebra style) and of course, freestyle specialists (eg teddy bear cuts, mixed breed coat types, Asian fusion, etc for the oodles of ‘oodles who dominate the streets of Bayside, Glen Eira, Port Philip and Stonnington).

Our team have some conformation/ show experience and are always happy to discuss your show dog’s maintenance needs and work with your professional handler as well as pampering and treating every scruffy little mixed breed dog just as kindly and lovingly as any show dog is cared for.

Our grooming services are by appointment only and can be booked online or via text, but we do offer limited walk in services during opening hours including nail trimming, face tidies, anal gland expressions (external), paw-dicures (nails, paw pads and scissor neatening of “grinch feet”), sanitary trims, dry shampoo/ cologne refresh and brush/ blow outs for when a last minute spruce up is needed between grooms or before a special event. SMS for any enquiries about our walk in services. We sometimes have full appointments available at short notice and keep a cancellation list for any last minute spots that open up. To avoid disparity we recommend booking at least a month in advance, and at least 8 weeks in advance before Christmas. Most of our clients rebook at each appointment or pre-book a recurring schedule for a full year at a time.

Our salon runs on the values we felt were missing in the pet care industry, and we will always put animal welfare at the forefront of how we work and cater the experience for every dog that comes into our salon including dogs with anxiety or complex medical backgrounds to make grooming as low stress and safe for them as possible. We are sustainability minded and proud members of sustainable salons which means 95% of our salon waste including pet hair is diverted from landfill and repurposed (eg to make hair looms for soaking up oil spills and composted down into an eco friendly fertiliser which you can even buy in our salon along with plant pots made from recycled salon plastics like shampoo bottles) and we regularly support local charities with $1 from every groom being donated to our charity of the season (eg Fly By Night Bat Rescue in October or Minus18 for Pride Month in June) along with a range of charity retail items with 100% of profits being donated as well.
